CONCORD, N.C. -- John Wes Townley, driver of the No. 09 Ford in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and sponsor, Zaxby's, will be moving on following the conclusion of the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series season, the team announced Thursday.

"The rumors are true," said Robby Benton, RAB Racing co-owner. "I have been informed that both Zaxby's and driver John Wes Townley will be moving on."

"I'm sure they will make an announcement regarding their new home in the coming weeks," Benton said. "I will leave that news for them to announce.

"The Townley's are great people and Zaxby's has been an outstanding partner over the past two years. We are grateful for the relationship we have had with them and wish both John Wes and Zaxby's the best of luck in their future endeavors."

As for RAB Racing, "We are currently entertaining other opportunities for 2010 as we would like to remain a fulltime competitor in the NASCAR Nationwide Series," Benton said.

RAB Racing has one top-15 finish in 26 starts in its first season in NASCAR's second-tier division.
